Parents tend to think the internet is not a “real” place, thus underestimating the world their children spend so much time in. For kids, the digital space is as real as it gets - and cyberbullying hurts just as much as bullying in real life. Yet it is difficult to recognize and even harder to stop, because we cannot simply turn off the internet.

Solution

Together with Vaikų linija we created a campaign for parents, providing them with essential knowledge on this issue. We used seemingly cute and innocent smiley emojis, which in fact carried the hidden power of psychological violence - a visual metaphor for how harmful online bullying can be, and how much of it we tend not to see..
